  16.   There are two different answers, depending on how "basic" your 2000 is.
  17.   If you have the original "Fat Agnus", which only supports 512KB of "Chip
  18.   RAM", you can easily replace it with the "Fatter Agnus" (1MB Chip RAM).
  19.   This revision will require you to make two minor "jumper" changes on your
  20.   Rev 4 or later motherboard.  The other 512KB of Chip RAM will come from what
  21.   you now see as "Fast RAM".

  23.   If you want to install the 2MB "Super Agnus", you will need the special
  24.   conversion kit that comes from a third party supplier.  It is a daughter
  25.   board that plugs into the Fat Agnus slot (and connects with logic probes to
  26.   a couple of other chips) and includes the second MB of Chip RAM onboard.

  30.   No.  Unlike video RAM on various graphic cards, Chip RAM is fully visible to
  31.   the Amiga's CPU.  Once you have enough Chip RAM, you may discover that you
  32.   need more "Fast RAM" in order to take full advantage of AmigaDOS' preemptive
  33.   multitasking.
